Introduced and passed the Woodlawn Housing Ordinance to secure and expand affordable housing in the 20th Ward to ensure long-time residents can continue to live in their neighborhoods; working to pass the Accountable Housing and Transparency Registry ordinance with The Chi coalition

For Safe Communities
Currently, is fighting side-by-side with elected officials and Anjanette Young to pass the 'Anjanette Young' Ordinance that would stop no-knock raids; advocated for more funding for youth job programs in the city budget; supported violence prevention interrupters and programs for the 20th Ward

Fought for wage increases and protective equipment for frontline healthcare workers during the pandemic; advocated for a $15 minimum wage in Illinois; secured day care workers' right to childcare so they could perform their own job duties; have a long track record of supporting labor and workers
